Objective: Capture number cards from the piles on the table using dice rolls. When the Draw Pile runs out, whoever has the most points wins. Points come only from the suits of the cards you've captured β not the numbers.
Each player starts with 5 cards face down in hand. The rest of the deck is the Draw Pile.
Select a card from your hand, then either play it onto any open pile already on the table, or start a brand new pile with it. Instead of playing a card, you can also attempt to capture the top card of any open pile with a roll. The board can have several piles going at once β all open piles are fair game each turn.
Capture successfully and the card underneath is exposed β keep rolling to chain captures until you miss! If you miss on an Aceβ6 card, the other player gets one steal attempt with a single die (matching the number exactly). Miss on a 7β10 card and your turn just ends.
King or Queen β playing either onto an existing open pile locks it; nothing more can be added to or captured from a locked pile until it's unlocked. Played to start a brand new pile, there's nothing to lock, so the card is discarded instead. Either way, a King still steals a random card from the opponent's hand, and a Queen still draws 3 new cards.
Jack or Joker β play one onto any locked pile on the table to unlock it: both the Jack/Joker and the card that locked it are discarded, and that pile is open again. Played onto an open pile, or to start a new pile, a Jack or Joker is simply discarded with no effect. Either way, playing one draws you 1 new card.
Once you've played all 5 cards from your hand, you draw 5 new ones at the start of your next turn β Queens, Jacks, and Jokers grant extra cards immediately as noted above.
Only suits count: Spades = 4 pts, Hearts = 3 pts, Clubs = 2 pts, Diamonds = 1 pt per captured card. The game ends the moment the Draw Pile runs out of cards; highest total wins.
