How do you want to play?
Online play needs both of you connected at the same time, and loads a small connection library from the web — it won't work fully offline.
Setting up…
Share this code with your friend — once they join, the game starts automatically.
Enter the room code your friend gave you:
One deck, two colors. You'll build with your color; the computer builds with the other. A coin flip decides who goes first.
Be the first to form a 4-card straight (four consecutive ranks) or four-of-a-kind, in a straight line horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — with at least two of the four cards in your own color.
A shuffled deck lays out a row of 7 cards, one per column, as the base of the board (reshuffled automatically if that starting row already contains a straight or four-of-a-kind). The rest of the deck splits into a red pile and a black pile. Each player draws 5 cards from their color's pile into their hand; the remainder is that player's Draw Pile.
A straight is 4 consecutive ranks (suits don't matter within your color). Ace always counts as the lowest card — a straight can't wrap from King to Ace.
The moment your placed card completes a qualifying 4-in-a-line (straight or four-of-a-kind, with at least two of your own color), you win immediately.
If both players' hands and Draw Piles are completely empty and nobody has won, the game is decided by total progress: for every group of up to 4 aligned cards that could still become a straight or four-of-a-kind and already has at least two of a player's color, that player's card-count in the group is added to their total. Whoever's total is higher wins. Equal totals fall back to whoever has the single longest such group. Still equal — it's a draw.
From the start screen you can also host or join an online game with a friend instead of playing the computer — the host shares a short room code, the other player enters it, and from then on you're both looking at the same live board.
